A member asked:

On levothyroxine 100 for total thyroidectomy my t3 (liothyronine) is low and my ft4 and tsh are normal? i read this could mean i have an illness is this true?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, if TSH is normal, you are unlikely to have a serious issue.
