Maybe: The menstrual cycle is a sensitive one that may be affected by stress, sleep disorders, time zone changes, etc. Bleeding between periods, or metrorrhagia, is usually not indicative of anything serious. However, for women over 35 or if it recurs, evaluation with sonography or biopsy , may be indicated.
