What causes alzhiemer's?

Do not fully know: Typically a problem associated with aging, and seems more frequent in people who exercise less, and use critical thinking skills less, but this may be just added protection. As we age, levels of folate (folic acid) and Cyanocobalamin in brain decline, with secondary increase of homocysteine, which affects cognition. Our ability to control free radicals drops. Some have genetic family risks. But no certainty.

Scientists believe: For most people, alzheimer's disease results from a combination of genetic, lifestyle and environmental factors that affect the brain over time. While the actual cause isn't clearly understood, the presence of beta-amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles are hallmarks of the disease and are presumed to be related to brain cell death.
