Yes in diabetics: Diabetics with uncontrolled blood sugar will spill sugar into their urine. This will pull water out of the body and can lead to urinary frequency. If yu have this problem, you need to see your physician for the appropriate evluation and management.

It could: If you have diabetes or glucose intolerance, a high sugar intake may cause spilling of glucose into the urine. This would cause additional urine to be made. I this case it would act like a diuretic, resulting in a larger urine volume. Usually thirst accompanies this phenomenon.
