See an OB/GYN: Go back and visit the person who did the sutures. This is not normal and you need to be examined.

Possible Infection?: It's not entirely clear from your question where those stitches were placed; i assume the vagina during delivery, but, am not sure. Painful urination may be coming from the mild trauma associated with catheter placement, stretching of the opening of the birth canal, existing stitches, or a mild infection. This is one of those occasions i'd strongly suggest you see your ob/gyn soon.
