Will eyesight deterioration cause vision loss ?

They are the same: The question is: what do you mean by eyesight deterioration? If you mean deterioration of the eye or one of its components, then yes, it could lead to loss of vision. But eyesight deterioration - like vision loss - is a symptom rather than a cause of a problem.

No: If you have a change in your vision, requiring a new prescription, wearing your old glasses, will not hurt your eyes. You will, however, see better with a new pair of glasses.
