Ddd & ra, how do you manage?

5 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

RA and DDD different: Ddd is treated symptomatically with exercise, core muscle strengthening and weight control. Rarely are injections or surgery warranted. Ra is treated with various med including anti-inflammatories, steroid and immune system modulating drugs. This all depends of the severity of your particular case. Speak to your rheumatologist for complete discussion of how to treat RA in your particular situation.

2 different ways: Ra can be devastating if not properly treated. You should seek treatment from your physician or, ideally, from a rheumatologist. Ddd is a different story all together but weight control, not smoking & regular exercise will help both ddd & ra. For most, ddd is just age changes not leading to any significant symptoms. Ra can be halted with treatment. Otc medication can help with symptoms
