Yes: Below the level of detection and ct's are done in slices..Could be missed.

A cm is: Roughly a half-inch, so 6.6 is a little more than half that and quite easy to not been seen on ct, and unlikely to be seen on a plain film...And I am speaking of chest. Abdomen or pelvis even easier to miss.
