Tender = inflamed: Inguinal nodes can be enlarged from infection, inflammation or growth in the lower limb, groin or genital areas. This certainly warrants a thorough gyn examination. Node has caused enough concern to warrant an us & report was abnormal. Consider discussing it with a surgeon with view to possible excision biopsy. You will then know if it's benign and stop worrying. Good luck.

Watch and wait: You may feel the node every couple of weeks, if the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
