Can i contract poison ivy from treating my sons poison blisters that are draining?

No: The fluid in the blisters does not contain poison ivy resin which is what one reacts to. You can, however, react to poison ivy resin on your son's skin if he still has it on him.

Poison Ivy.: Agree with earlier answer. There may still be Urushiol on his skin that you can come contact with. However, the fluid in the blisters does not contain it. There are specific products that you can buy that will wash the Urushiol off.
