Viral...: Flu is caused by a viral infection. If you call your doctor in the first 48 hours, an anti-viral medicine can be prescribed which may decrease duration and intensity of symptoms. Beyond this, the treatment is to treat the symptoms, rest, drink plenty of fluids and wash your hands often. See your doctor so treatment can be given.

Sx's: Rest, hydrate, quarantine & eat healthfully. Consider use of acetaminophen, saline for nasal irrigation, decongestant or cough syrup. Get urgent care for difficulty breathing, blue lips, marked persistent chest pain/ pressure or new onset confusion. These symptoms could be from a number of causes to include influenza & COVID 19.
