No: If that is the case, then it's not an allergy to the pop corn but to one of the ingredients used to make the pop corn. Movie theater and microwave popcorn have lots of other chemicals and oils that may be causing the allergy. If it doesn't happen with real pop corn kernels popped at home from scratch, then that will confirm it.
