See below: Moon face, or moon facies, is a medical sign which people are often born with, resulting in a large chin and large forehead. This results in a 'moon' shape, when looked at from the side. It is often associated with cushing's syndrome or steroid treatment (especially corticosteroids), which has led to it being known as cushingoid facies ("cushings-like face") or steroid facies respectively.
