Bacteria: E coli, or escherichia coli is a bacteria that can cause infections in the human body. One of the common places is the urinary tract. When a bacteria infects and grows in the urinary system causing different signs and symptoms that is called a urinary tract infection and it usually requires treatment. UTI caused by E.coli: E. Coli are the most common bacteria and normal inhabitants of the large bowel. These bacteria often reach the bladder, most commonly in females, where they can multiply & cause an infection. Hence advice for women to wipe front to back, and empty bladder after sex.
