Not simple.: Assuming no trauma to that site, shoulder pain can be arthritis, gall bladder disease, or even a peculiar lung tumor called a pancoast tumor. Start with primary doctor, she/he will take a history, physical, do some blood work and get a plain chest x-ray and shoulder x-rays.
