Health and hygiene: Yeast like to grow in warm moist areas. Thorough drying after showering may help. Antibiotics taken for other infections, may kill "healthy bacteria" that prevent yeast; this allows yeast to grow in their place. Some say eating yogurt or avoiding foods containing yeast may prevent an infection; there is little evidence to support that.. Treatment of a yeast infection may be with creams or pills.
