Hives, angioedema..: Immune and non-immunologic pathways leading react aggressively, leading to airway constriction with increased mucous secretion and airway edema. Vasodilation occurs with cardiac dysfunction and/or depression leading to cardiovascular collapse, hypotension, shock and increased vascular permeability. Hives and itching (urticaria), which can occur with or without the onset of shock.
