Watch it everyday: Mouth sores are ubiquitous--they happen to everyone. Most are simple and benign, some are dangerous. Keep an eye on it for several days. Is it getting better? If not, call a dentist--this is the reason we entered our profession--to help people and restore health. Home remedies are difficult to recommend. Because, for example, food burns heal themselves, as do cold sores.

Been there awhile?: If you have a sore on the roof of your mouth think back...Did you have something really hot (pizza is a good one) did you eat something sharp (tortilla chips), etc. If this sore is more than a week or 2 old...Go to the dentist and have it looked at. May be something you need to get biopsied and treated. So...Put you mind at ease and go!
