Only if infected: Triple antibiotic ointment is used to treat or prevent skin infections. It is neither good or bad for tatoos.

Not really.: If you're healing after a tattoo, using triple antibiotic ointment only triples the likelihood of having an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction--most common with the neomycin in triple antibiotic. Keep clean and use Bacitracin (single) or polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) (double) antibiotic ointment instead.
