Gross exaggeration: Dsm-iv nomenclature refers to malingering as total fabrication of symptoms or complaints or gross exaggeration of complaints relative to findings or history - for the purpose of external gain or avoidance. It differs from conversion or some somatoform disorders in that it is considerd not to be psychological or unconscious. High risk in claims for benefits or legal cases.
