They have a life : Nothing gets rid of cold sores. It seems no matter what you do they hang around for about 14 days. If you try to put something on them..They will last 2 weeks. Try to keep them dry ( no vaseline or chapstick) and don't pick at them. Limit stress and fatigue. Unfortunately, some people are prone to getting them. Watch spicy or acidic food and drink.
