Depends: You get more from this site when you provide detailed info about the issue with your question. What are you calling high fever? With 105+ F I would go to the ER. With 101 F I would monitor the situation with no treatment. You are welcome to start over with more detail.

Need more info: First priority is to make your child comfortable by bringing the fever down.In order to do this i need your child's weight and age to give you the right dosage. If sick looking go to the emergency room.
