Try again: You always have to rule out pregnancy. Get a home pregnancy test. They should turn positive about the time you're a week late. If it's negative, repeat it and call your doctor.

Probably +: A home pregnancy test should show no reaction at all. Anything else is probably a positive. Repeat the hpt. If questionable, see your doctor for a blood pregnancy test.
