Depends....: If diagnosed early, and the person quits smoking entirely, there may not be any symptoms although the person's lungs will never be entirely normal due to the presence of copd.

Depends: If COPD is not advanced when diagnosed, the patient stops smoking and adheres to a healthy lifestyle and his/her medication regimen, they may enjoy a totally normal life.
