lesion in the brain: Any lesion in the brain, in this case a 1 cm lesion in the base of the right basal ganglia (near brainstem), is abnormal. There is no guessing about what it could be. I presume this was a ct or an MRI ordered by a primary care physician or neurologist. Whoever has this needs to have neurologic and possibly neurosurgical consultations.

Depends: Could just be calcification. Could be small stroke. Could be many things.
