Okay: This won't hurt. In many observational studies, this was thought to help with urine blockage. However, in a very large randomized trial funded by the nih it was shown to be no better than placebo. Consider an alpha-blocker such as doxazosin or tamsulosin instead. These are prescriptions with minimal side effects.
