One: While it only takes one sperm to impregnate an egg, men are considered to have a low sperm count when there are less than 15 million sperm/milliliter. For comparison, there are 5 milliliters in a teaspoon. Present day average sperm count is 20 -40 million/ml (this number has been declining for decades). A drop is (about) 0.05 ml, so 30 million x .05 equals 1.5 million/drop.
