A member asked:

Can your gallbladder stop working & is it dangerous?

Sort of. : The gallbladder's function is to store bile made by the liver and eject it into the intestinal tract to help your body absorb fat. If the gallbladder is full of stones or functions incorrectly, this storage function is lost; the body learns to compensate. The main issue is if this "dysfunction" causes pain--it is then when we recommend intervention--gallbladder surgery.

Yes : It's called biliary dyskinesia, and other than the pain or discomfort, it is not dangerous.
