Good hygene checkup: General oral hygene is important as well as regular dental check up. I would use over the counter scope diluted with water (50/50) to rinse and split out after each meal. Careful tooth brushing and fossing. If your tonsil seems to swell, you need to be checked by a physician. Generally speaking, motrim/ advil is better for anti-inflammatory than tylenol (acetaminophen) as long as you have no allergy to motrim.

Brush & Floss!: Great question! i'm not sure of the progression of your gingivitis but usually brushing thoroughly, flossing daily, and getting a professional check-up and cleaning at the dentist will help minimize gingivitis. Mouth rinses like listerine, warm salt water rinse and other adjunct rinses can also be advantageous for managing gingivitis. Make sure you go to the dentist regularly.
