Medication must be: taken only as prescribed. Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is a long-acting Dextroamphetamine and Focalin is a short-acting dexmethylphenidate, both stimulants for TX of ADHD. Evaluation determines diagnosis and medication dosage (which is adjusted based on response and side effects for the individual). Please contact prescriber if uncertain what to do. Best regards.
