Your choice: If a diaper is needed because of a very heavy flow the woman needs a dr history and exam. Pads or tampons should be enough in a normal flow.

Yes: Other options include wearing 2 sanitary pads, or a tampon and a pad, or an instead or diva cup. See your doctor if your periods are very heavy. She may be able to help.
