Yes but . . .: Nuvaring is an excellent form of contraception (birth control). However, it only works if used as directed. On the other hand, if you want to conceive (have a baby), you shouldn't use any form of contraception! so pulling out your NuvaRing and leaving it out (until you want birth control) will return you to your natural odds of getting pregnant upon having sex (w/o use of condoms, etc).
