I have brown discharge instead of period. i am feeling dry and itchy. i am 42. married and sexually active with hubby only.

Three concerns: !.) the brown discharge may or may not be your period so run a pregnancy test if you have not been using contraception. 2.) At age 42 your periods will become more anovulatory with estrogen dominance, therefore a normal cycle trend prior to peri menopause. 3). The itching may be a vaginal infection that may need to be evaluated and treated by a GYN MD.
