Tylenol (acetaminophen): Why don't you try salt water first? It's natural and works fairly well for sore throat and drainage in the nose and post nasal drip if used in neti pots! tylenol, (acetaminophen) by far, is the safest for throat pain. Benadryl can be taken as needed likewise.

Honey: Wild wheat honey has soothing properties for cough and sore throat and is completely safe during pregnancy. Several commercially available brands can be purchased at your pharmacy or health food store.
