Tough to tell: Possibilities include colon disease like simple diarrhea (viral or bacterial), indigestion, or a non- simple disease like ulcerative colitis or crohns disease or even cancer. The latter possibilities are more likely if symptoms have been going on for long time e.g. Weeks. A liver disease is also possible. If this is not a few days affair, would see a doctor!

Med eval: Yellow stool, especially if light in color can be caused by problems with the liver or gallbladder. Gastroesophageal reflex, celiac disease, intestinal inflammatory disease and malabsorption can also be causes. I recommend that you contact your physician so that this can be explored.
