Possibly: A small hard lump in any area can be due to benign (not life threatening) and malignant (cancer, and life threatening) causes. I would recommend having a physician examine the lump sooner rather than later.

Agree with Dr. K: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor.
