Hard to say: The meds treating this do not fix the problem overnight although you may take the med all at once.It stays in your system for at least a week.If your partner is infected and was not treated, you could certaily get infected again, but it is hard to say this event made much of a difference to you.If your partner was not infected, it might be something they will get, since you were likely contageous.
