Probably from ear: If the lymph node in the back of your neck is tender, it may represent the first line of defense of your immune system. The more likely source of the infection is from the pierced ear. Tonsil infection does not produce a lymph node in the back of your neck but in the upper front of the neck. Make sure your pierced ear site is not infected.
