Casting: Depending upon the severity/nature of the fracture; any orthopedist would usually realign the joint appropriately and apply either a splint, cast; or if needed; repair the joint operatively and then cast to insure immobility of the joint to facilitate proper healing. Best to ask your orthopedist.
