How do you treat a broken elbow?

Casting: Depending upon the severity/nature of the fracture; any orthopedist would usually realign the joint appropriately and apply either a splint, cast; or if needed; repair the joint operatively and then cast to insure immobility of the joint to facilitate proper healing. Best to ask your orthopedist.

Depends: Treatment depends on where the elbow is broken and how far the pieces have moved. There are some elbow fractures that require surgery to ensure no function is lost in the future, but some only require time and gentle exercise. Speaking to an orthopedic doctor will give you the best guidance on what is best for you.
