NO CURE: Research is ongoing. Sad disease, I have had several patients with hd and it is one of the sadest things i've ever been involved in caring for.

Promising: There have been a series of sussessful animal studies that have shown surprising temporary remissions; human trials are pending. The real hope for the future is alteration of the single gene that causes this disorder, and that may be possible in about 10-15 years. See the humtington foundation website.
