Depends on where...: Chlamydia can infect different parts of the body. Depending on what one is kissing, chlamydia can be passed from one person to another. It can travel from the genitals to the throat via oral sex. Then, it can go from one person's throat to another's throat, etc...

No risk, no worry: Chlamydia can infect the oral cavity, but it's quite uncommon; and is only known to be caught from performing oral sex on someone with genital infection. It is rarely if ever transmitted by kissing. There has never been a scientific report of transmission by kissing, and even transmission by oral sex is rare. Oral chlamydia testing usually isn't necessary or recommended.
