Less-sticky foods?: Many websites describe having hiccups as one of the expected side effects of weight-loss surgeries. The exact cause is uncertain, but some say it is a "new" sign being full (of food in the "tummy"), and might by helped by eating/swallowing slowly. One can talk with the surgeon to see what his experience is with his patients, whether their hiccups last one month or one year, etc...
