Good question: You may have an abscess forming if the tooth is really causing the neck pain. You should see a dentist as soon as possible before this turns into something serious.

Don' t dream: It sounds like you have a bad tooth that has an infection that is hurting back to your ear and possibly even up to the front teeth on that side. We like to blame too many things on allergies, which can be valid, but this sounds like a situatiobn where you need to get to the dentist.
