how soon after you have a copper iud removed can you get pregnant? had the copper iud for 4 years how long does the copper stay in your body after removal?

Right Away: You are still ovulating with the iud in place & once it's removed, you are fertile as of your next cycle. The amount of copper in your body is negligible and does not affect fertility or health. Take Folic Acid prior to conception to help prevent birth defects and good luck with pregnancy.
