Psychotherapy: For best outcomes with stress and depression, medications need to be accompanied by good psychotherapy. This can help discover and deal with many emotional patterns that trigger or worsen distress. Also, if antidepressants are needed, a psychiatrist can often figure out what to do if the first medicine is ineffective (and this isn't uncommon). Please don't lose hope!

See Below: Try stress management techniques: deep breathing, relaxation. Figure out what triggers your depression to help you build up awareness; establish a me/self-care routine, sleep hygiene, diet, exercise. All things things together along with medication and psychotherapy will help you get a handle on your depression and better symptom management. Good luck!
