Can i use enema instead of colyte (polyethylene glycol) for colonoscpy?

Perhaps: An enema can be effective for pre-colonoscopy treatment. You may need to combine with citrate of magnesia and bisacodyl (dulcolax) tablets as well, to assure complete cleansing. Please consult with your physician before changing the therapy.

Not really: Colyte (polyethylene glycol) or any of the other accepted preps for colonoscopy clean the entire colon from above. Enemas don not adequately clean the entire colon. A clean colon is mandatory for a thorough colonoscopy.
