Yes: Naturopathic physicians learn botanical medicine during all 4 years of their medical education. I can remember a time when there were very few people keeping herbal knowledge alive, and nd education was a stronghold for learning it during that time. So any licensed nd has studied the effectiveness and danger of plant medicines.
