Cold: It is most likely a viral illness. Viral illness will take its course. Some times one develops a complication like secondary bacterial infection ( upper air ways/ ear/throat/chest) causing sinus infection, ear infection/bronchitis. If symptoms do not improve/gets worst / fever, seek medical attention.
