No: The ultrasound is used also to determine the health of pregnancy

Yes: The ultrasound can look at the fetus size , condition, and to determine the gestational date and help to estimate the deliver date. The conception date is usually not accurate.

Could be: Ultrasound for dating in the first trimester will not be terribly useful if you conceive with iui, and if you are certain of teh IUI dates. Ultrasound in the second trimester for fetal anatomy, etc, is still very useful. Also 2nd and 3rd trimester ultrasound to confirm fetal growth can be useful.
