Bicarb: Green ants bite and then spray the area with formic acid causing the burn and pain. Mix1tablespoon of bicarbinate of soda in 500ml of boiled and cooled water. Apply to area and should feel better in a few minutes repeat if necessary.

Medication: Most insect bites cause minor irritation such as itching, swelling, tingling and/or numbness. These symptoms could be treated with an antihistamine (benadryl) and Hydrocortisone cream. Poisonous insect (spiders and scorpions) bites cause more severe symptoms and even death. All insect bites could cause a severe allergic reaction called anaphylaxis in individuals allergic to the particular insect.
